Beer Brawls: Hop Chef returns on July 8th

Mark those calendars, folks, everyone's favorite beer cooking competition/month of high intensity Twitter trash talk is back. Ommegang's Hop Chef is returning to Union Transfer on July 8th and this year's line up looks super solid. Here's the roster: Jeremy Nolen (Brauhaus and Whetstone), Travis Masar (Top Chef-testant/Sampan), Ben Puchowitz (Cheu Noodle Bar and Bing Bing), Townsend Wentz (Townsend), Jennifer Choplin (Dock Street Brewing Company), Jonathan Petruce and Justin Petruce (Petruce et al.), Chad Vetter (City Tap House) and James Kenngott (Strangelove's). Hop Chef is in its third year with chefs competing to win a place at the Grand Hop Chef cook-off at Ommegang's Belgium Comes to Cooperstown Festival happening in August.

Tickets for Hop Chef are available right here and the $50 entrance fee gets you samples of all of the contestants paired plates and plenty of Ommegang.
