File this under the best news we've heard all day: The Insider just broke the news that Eli Kulp and Ellen Yin of Fork and High Street on Market are joining forces with David Fields at a.bar and a.kitchen.
The plan is for Kulp to take over the executive chef position, revamping the menus at both a.bar and a.kitchen and to bring in a new chef de cuisine beginning in March. Don't expect Fork or High Street west though. Fields is saying that his restaurant and oyster bar will retain their unique identities. No concrete concepts or menu direction yet, but this is nothing if not super exciting news. "All I can say is that it's a totally unique concept that will fit well into our group of restaurants," Kulp told Meal Ticket.
