Break dancers busted by SEPTA back on the street

Daniel Denvir

Earlier this month, SEPTA Police arrested members of the breakdancing group Project Positive for breaking on the Broad Street line. Today, I saw them performing across the street in City Hall.

When I've seen Project Positive on the train, most people seem to enjoy them. I get the safety concern, but SEPTA Police also said that the part of the crew's routine where they ask white people for money and black people for an IOU is "demeaning towards groups." Riders of both races seem to think they are pretty hilarious and entertaining.
