Brunch Watch: Petruce et al

We're not psychics but we're willing to bet that most of the go-to brunch spots around town (we're looking at you, Sabrina's and Honey's) are going to be an absolute mob scene this Sunday. For a more refined brunch option, may we suggest heading over to Petruce et al (1121 Walnut St.) where they're rolling out their first ever brunch service in honor of Mother's Day.

We already know that Jonathan and Justin Petruce are absolutely killing it in the kitchen and Tim Kweeder and George Costa are keeping the cocktail and wine list not only top notch but also entirely intriguing but the brunch menu is next level. That lasagna that Adam swooned over in his recent review is getting topped with a fried egg, pork is coming with kale, grits, poached eggs and hot sauce and the Petruce brothers are baking some good lookin' croissants. Oh and there's going to be pizza (marinara and sausage, ramp and egg) and a burger with mushroom, country ham and pickles. No word yet on brunch cocktails and sparkling wine offerings but we're pretty sure that Kweeder and Costa are on the case.
