U City burger and shake staple, Bobby's Burger Palace (3925 Walnut St.) rolled out a whole bunch of new menu items last week and we had a chance to taste 'em all. Inspired by the South and Southwest, we've got to say the the new menus is looking (and tasting) pretty tight. Here's the rundown on the latest burger and non-burger additions to the BBP menu:

Griddled Pimento Cheese and Bacon Sandwich: Pimento cheese, that Southern staple made of yellow American, mayo and canned pimentos is a beautiful thing. Throw it in a buttery grilled cheese with a few slices of bacon? Even better.

Burger of the Month: This month's burger is basically a pimento grilled cheese plus burger. Can't really go wrong, right?

New Mexico Burger: The New Mexico burger is right in Bobby Flay's Southwestern comfort zone with queso cheese sauce, spicy-smoky roasted green chiles and bright pickled red onions.

The Brunch Burger: The Brunch burger embraces the "putting an egg on it makes it better" ethos. And it works. Think of this one as a bacon, egg and cheese plus burger.

The Carolina Burger: Green onion slaw and American cheese. Love it. Add barbecue chips and pickled chiles on a burger? Even better. Not sure what this has to do with Carolina but does it really matter?

The Half & Half: The half and half is for those moments when deciding between french fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries is just too much.

New Shakes: Joining the ranks of the already stellar shake and malted lineup at BBP are two new flavors, mocha and mint chocolate chip. Both are extra thick (read: you can pretty much hold 'em upside-down) and topped with copious amounts of real whipped cream.
