Didn't see that coming.

Change Ups: Resurrection Ale House

Leigh Maida and Brendan Hartranft dropped us an email today announcing the closing of Resurrection Ale House (2425 Grays Ferry Ave.), a fountain of sour ales on Grays Ferry Ave since 2009. "As of the sending of this press release, the buyers prefer to remain unnamed as they are still gainfully employed and aren't ready to go public with their plans for the space," Maida wrote — which means the new mystery owners are probably independents making their solo debut.

Who could they be...

Maida is mum for now, but promises details soon. In the mean time, Resurrection will be running pop-up promos every day, like Goose Island Migration Week tap takeover next Tuesday, August 5 (full event details are available here). September 21st is the target for Resurrection's last day, which also coincides with their 5th anniversary bash. Got gift cards? Use em or lose em before then.
