Cinedelphia's full schedule includes premieres, local films,

The schedule for the PhilaMOCA-centered Cinedelphia film festival is up — it runs April 10-27, and it has some extremely deep cuts. Here's a few:

The "I Believe in Werner Herzog" burlesque takes only its name from the semi-ubiquitous Philly-area graffiti; however, it is still a burlesque show based on the work of Herzog, which is crazy enough already. If you're formulating a Grizzly Man, Fitzcarraldo or Cave of Forgotten Dreams joke, the creators have preempted you by actually doing them for real:

D20 burlesque creator and nerdlesque queen Anja Keister will take you deep into a CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS, the suave and macabre Donald Dashing shall achieve his opera house no matter the cost as FITZCARRALDO, Philadelphia's Badass of Burlesque Liberty Rose eats her shoe, and the whole evening concludes with a duet featuring Donald Dashing and Liberty Rose inspired by the controversial documentary GRIZZLY MAN.

Oh god. There's also a new sequel to last year's fantastic Filmadelphia program, Irv Slifkin's screening of a collection of lesser-known clips shot in or about Philadelphia, and this time promises both Jason Statham and Diver Dan. (If you're not familiar, here is Diver Dan.)

Also, a screening of one of the most bizarre/terrifying things ever shot in Philly: Fun In Balloonland. It is described like this:

So basically it's like a bunch of Gimbels employees got high and decided to shoot a film on Thanksgiving Eve. The only existing canister for this film is unmarked and it has no credits so this unlisted-on-IMDb oddity is a real mystery. A treat for both children and connoisseurs of the strange.

What does this look like? Here's the trailer:
