Cocktail Hour: Bartender Social & New Cocktails

If today's gorgeous weather has you thinking about seasonally appropriate cocktails and counting down the hours to happy hour, well, you're not alone. Here are two cocktail happenings going down this evening.

The Continental (138 Market St.) is rolling a laundry list of new cocktails today. There are reimaginings of Continental classics like the Astronaut (peach vodka and tang), traditional tipples such as Sidecars and Collinses and tropical cocktails designed to get you in vacation mode, snap pea mojito, anyone?

Tonight Emmanuelle (1052 N. Hancock St.) is hosting a Bartender Social this evening beginning at 9 p.m. as part of their mission to bring the city's best bartenders together for a good cause. Tonight's event is sponsored by Bols Genever and proceeds from each specially prepared $8 cocktail are going to be donated to Share Our Strength in support of its No Kid Hungry campaign. Not a bad excuse to have a couple of cocktails on a Monday night, right?
