Cocktail Hour: Detox Cocktails at Jet Wine Bar
In related news, apparently kale vodka is a real thing.

According to this style piece in yesterday's New York Times, (green) juicing has made its way into the bar. According to author Carson Griffith, "at #PSAVE, a Wednesday-night party held at the Avenue nightclub in Chelsea, promoters mix vegetable and fruit beverages from Juice Press with tequila, vodka and Kahlúa. Partygoers, who have dubbed the mixed drinks "juicetails," can't seem to get enough, and consider them a healthier alternative to sugary sodas and other conventional mixers."
Well, if you're into checking out this totally healthy (right?) trend, there's no need to book it up to Chelsea. Jet Wine Bar (1525 South St.) is kicking off a series of Dirty Detox cocktails this Sunday as part of their Recovery Brunch. This weekend they're offering up to cleaning cocktails - a strawberry, carrot, apple and cucumber blend spiked with gin or a green juice and vodka with kale, celery, apple and ginger. Because mixing booze with fresh squeezed juice is totally good for you, right?
