Concert photos/review: Black Lips @ Union Transfer
You know it's a great concert when you leave soaked in sweat with a beaming smile on your face.
[ 4/18 ] On Friday night Atlanta’s finest, The Black Lips, tore up a packed Union Transfer. On tour in support of their latest album, Underneath the Rainbow, The Black Lips mixed the new stuff in with some older hits like “Family Tree,” “Raw Meat,” and “Bad Kids.” I’ve seen The Black Lips a few times before and while their live show has tamed down quite a bit (there was a lack of nudity, toilet paper, and loogies), the crowd made up for it with constant moshing and crowd surfing, basically just going berserk. Everyone was singing right along with the band, who sounded more polished than ever. You know it’s a great concert when you leave soaked in sweat with a beaming smile on your face.
