Extremely silly correction demanded, received
No better way for a former tabloid editor to say goodbye to his old paper.

The former head of election watchdog the Committee of Seventy Zack Stalberg had an outgoing interview with the Daily News (where he was an editor for two decades) yesterday about his retirement and impending move to New Mexico. It resulted in a very funny correction running today, spotted by former DN editor Josh Cornfield:

The Daily News has already quote corrected the quote online:
They hope to move in late July. [His wife's horse] Mr. B will arrive by September. They were advised to keep him at a stable down the road, to give them more independence.
"When you're away, getting somebody to come over and feed your dog is one thing," Stalberg says. "Getting somebody to come over and pick up horse s--- is a whole other matter."
I cannot think of a better farewell than demanding an extremely silly correction. Godspeed!
