Great Sandwiches: Introducing Hawk Krall
Yes to Lebanon bologna. No to faux-regional sandwiches.

Editor's Note: In the days leading up to our inaugural GREAT SANDWICHES EVENT happening on May 28th (get your tickets HERE!)we're going to be introducing the sandwich-centric heavy hitters taking part in this totally awesome celebration of sandwiches. Today we've got judge number two, Hawk Krall, friend of Meal Ticket, food illustrator extraordinaire and Philadelphia sandwich expert.
Favorite sandwich: Anything with Lebanon bologna.
Least Favorite sandwich: Lukewarm tuna salad on white bread.
Most memorable sandwich experience: My first real Cuban in Miami at some wild shack and still the best I've ever had. And drunken 3 a.m. cheesesteaks from Pat's or Phil's.
Best Philadelphia sandwich: Italian Hoagie. Here's my top 5: Cosmi's (1501 S. 8th St.), Jack's Place (7167 Hegerman St.), Carmen's (42 E. Browning Rd., Bellmawr, NJ) in Bellmawr, Koch's Deli (4309 Locust St.), Lombardi's, RIP.
Deal breaker: Faux-regional sandwiches served on incorrect gourmet bread. Unless they're made by Scott Schroeder because they are so good it doesn't matter.
