Ketchup on a sandwich? No thanks.

Great Sandwiches: Introducing Lucio Palazzo

Editor's Note: In the days leading up to our inaugural GREAT SANDWICHES EVENT happening on May 28th (get your tickets HERE!)we're going to be introducing the sandwich-centric heavy hitters taking part in this totally awesome celebration of sandwiches. Today we're talking sandwiches with Lucio Palazzo, the taco mastermind at Taqueria Feliz .

Favorite sandwich: Cemita Poblana, but it must have papalo.

Least favorite sandwich: Cheese hoagie from Wawa.

Most memorable sandwich experience: There's this stand in the Borough Market in London that sells duck confit sandwiches. They have a large kind of a paella pan set over a propane burner, and they crisp the duck legs and stuff it in a sourdough-like roll with some bitter greens. Nothing else. Then you walk around the open air market, and you're not hungry so you don't overindulge in meat pies. It's beautiful.

Best Philadelphia sandwich:Tripe from George's on 9th St. With a long hot and their hot sauce.

Sandwich deal breaker:Anything with ketchup or fake meat.
