Editor's Note: In the days leading up to our inaugural GREAT SANDWICHES EVENT happening on May 28th (get your tickets HERE!)we're going to be introducing the sandwich-centric heavy hitters taking part in this totally awesome celebration of sandwiches. Today we're introducing the first of our participating restaurants, Lansdowne's The Avenue Delicatessen.

Who: The Avenue Delicatessen 

Where: 27 N Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne

What: A Jewish-Italian Deli conceptualized by Laura Frangiosa. 

Sandwich Style: Mashing up the traditions of Jewish and Italian delis with awesome results like pastrami tofu and house-cured corned beef reubens and specials and pulled pork with caramelized fennel and provolone.

Best Sellers: House-cured corned beef and Jewish wedding soup with veal meatballs, matzoh balls, chicken and escarole.
