Happy Hour: Bar Volver Wednesdays

If you've been looking for an excuse to check out Volver (300 S. Broad St.) Jose Garces' stunning new restaurant at the Kimmel Center but not quite ready to go all in for the spendy performance menu we've got some excellent news for you.

Tonight Bar Volver is launching a weekly Wednesday happy hour from 5 to 7:30 p.m. where you can experience all of the schmanciness that Volver has to offer at a more casual price point. They're going to be offering $8 stills and sparkling wines from sommelier Gordana Kostovski, and cocktails like the Truffle Rush, a lavender- and truffle-spiked take on an Old Fashioned. There's also a menu of way fancy bar snacks like $1 Waygu tartines on herb grilled focaccia with truffled proveleta and charred scallions, $2 oysters and tuna tartare for $7 with yuzu mayo, shiso and edamame.

Anyway, high end happy hour? We're totally in.
