Happy Hour: Fitler Dining Room

File this under a happy hour we can get behind: Rob Marzinsky has been toying around with a few new menu items and decided that Fitler Dining Room's (2201 Spruce St.) daily happy hour (5-7 p.m.) is the best place to showcase them.

Marzinsky is going to shucking half price oysters, serving a daily cheese selection (think Spout Creek Madeline with honey and red currants), local vegetables with a rotating dip of the day (yesterday's way pan-fried broccoli), heirloom popcorn dusted with Rogue Creamery's Blue Heaven and an absolutely awesome looking Japanese fried chicken sandwich with slaw and bread and butter pickles.

On the drinks side of things Filter is doing cans of Tiger lager for $3 and a summer berry spiked sangria for $5 a glass or $23 dollars a pitcher.
