Hotel Life: Kimpton coming to the Parkway

With a W and an SLS on the way and this exciting piece of news, it looks like Philadelphia's high end hotel shortage is going to become a thing of the past. Our pals over at Uwishunu are reporting that Kimpton has official plans for a third Philadelphia property at 1801 Vine Street aka the family court building. The historical landmark is going to be renovated into a 199 room hotel complete with spa, event space and most importantly, a sizable bar and restaurant area. Kimpton is planning on breaking ground late this year and opening the new hotel in 2016 or 2017.
