24 restaurants in 12 hours. Well done, Mr. Mayor.
File this under amazing: Jenkintown's mayor (yes, the tiny town has a mayor) took it upon himself to eat at every one of the borough's 24 restaurants in one day. Mayor Ed Foley began his crazy/amazing journey this past Saturday at 6:15 a.m. at IHOP and ended around midnight at Drake Tavern live tweeting each of his 24 stops . Of course, the goal of Foley's eating adventure was to drum up business for Jenkintown Restaurant Week and it totally worked since the story has been picked up by all sorts of national outlets.
Anyway, we're pretty sure that eating in all of your district's restaurants should part of mayoral duties from here on out.
