Lenny Dykstra biopic in the works from The Blind Side's director and producer
Which A-list actor will be stuffing his cheeks like a meathead chipmunk?

According to Variety, The Blind Side director and producer John Lee Hancock and Gil Netter (respectively) are getting back together to do another highly inspirational sports biopic. On Lenny Dykstra, former Phillie famous for being an all-around screw-up, giving a stripper a check that bounced, going to prison for grand theft auto (among other charges), getting bailed out by Charlie Sheen, attempting to run a magazine for pro athletes, declaring bankruptcy and selling his World Series ring. After his retirement from baseball, as philly.com recently put it very nicely, came "years of drug allegations, financial scandals, felony convictions, and fistfuls of amphetamines."
Variety says:
Dykstra said in an interview after he was released from prison last summer that Netter had acquired his movie rights — and suggested that either Matt Damon or Mark Wahlberg portray him in the film.
Blind Side brought in, like, $309 million and a bunch of Oscars, so they might actually have a budget this time that's in the Damon or Wahlberg range. Cannot wait to see which actor ends up having to act through cheeks stuffed full of fake chaw like a meathead chipmunk.
