FYI today is a very important national holiday, it's Oyster Day. August 5th is the one day a year that you are free to indulge in as many oysters as your heart desires. You could theoretically do this any day of the year but then there's what whole months with the letter 'r' rule thing

We dropped a few ideas for your oyster enjoyment yesterday but since happy hour is rapidly approaching he figured we'd share a few more half shell deals with you.

a.bar  (135 S. 18th St.) is offering $1.50 oysters all day long plus they've got great glasses of Muscadet and cremant de Limoux to accompany their selection of bivalves.

Fitler Dining Room (2201 Spruce St.) has one of our favorite happy hours in town and today they're adding half price malpeques with mignonette to the mix.
