A good excuse to eat every oyster in sight.

Food holidays are silly but they're also a good excuse to do things like eat your weight in oysters. Being that tomorrow is National Oyster Day here's a look at some of the more thrilling deals celebrating everyone's favorite bivalve:
Paris Bistro (8229 Germantown Ave.) in Chestnut Hill is offering buck-a-shuck oysters from 5 to 9 p.m. which is a great deal in and of itself but the real deal here is a $100 package that includes 100 oysters, a bottle of Champagne and a room at the Chestnut Hill Hotel. This one makes sense on two levels, first off, the aphrodisiac powers of oysters and secondly, you're probably not going to want to go to far after downing 50 plus oysters. Book your oyster evening by calling 215-242-6400.
Over at Pennsylvania 6 (114 S. 12th St.) they're going to be shucking $1 Malpeques all day long and offering up a menu of oyster-centric specials including Kentucky fried oysters with hot and sour sauce, lemon and garlic herb crusted oysters Rockefeller, oyster corn chowder, with Yukon potato, charred scallion and smoked paprika; and oyster carbonara, with garlic, parsley, chili, Benton's bacon and egg served over hand cut pasta.
And of course Oyster House (1516 Sansom St.) is getting in on the Oyster Day action. They've got an all oyster four-course menu from chef Brett Naylor that's starts with oysters on the half shell followed up by grilled oysters with bang caudal, fried oysters with grits, black-eyed peas, bacon and Tabasco and finishes with an oyster pan roast with blackened shrimp butter.
