Menu Intel: New offerings at a.bar
Countdown to Thursday!

Since taking over the kitchen at the AKA hotel, chef Eli Kulp was dead set on not rushing the menu revamp at a.bar (135 S. 18th St.). The new, seafood-heavy lineup is debuting next Thursday, July 17th. Along with a brand new menu, a.bar is extending their hours, opening daily at noon and serving until 10 p.m. with raw bar offerings available until 11 p.m.
So, what's on the menu?
Kulp and company have embraced a global outlook on seafood and crafted a menu that ranges from raw to cooked. Think daily oysters (on the half-shell with traditional mignonette or kimchi-celery mignonette) to ceviches (fluke with tamarind lime and crispy hominy) and tiraditos (striped bass with almond milk, habanero and cilantro) plus lobster rolls, deep-fried soft shell shrimp and a shrimp Louis salad. Oh, and there's a burger with beef from Creekstone Farms.
Having experienced the awesomeness that Kulp has brought to Fork, High Street on Market and a.kitchen, we're a little more than excited to check out the new menu at a.bar.
