New Year’s Planner: Recovery Pho at Le Viet

Sure, it's still a few weeks out but it's certainly not too late to be planning for New Year's Eve... and your recovery plans for New Year's Day.

This morning a pho-pun filled gem landed in our inbox and honestly, it's too good not to share. On a few levels. There's no doubt that pho is a wonderful hangover helper, mostly do to the fact that it's mostly water, helping infinitely with the dehydration factor. The good folks over at Le Viet (1019 S. 11th St.), one of the swankier (and dimly lit) Vietnamese joints off of Washington is offering a bowl of pho plus a stomach settling Sprite or ginger ale for $6 all New Year's Day long.

According to the science-heavy release this is why pho should be your NYD hangover breakfast "It's packed with protein and sodium to replenish your dehydrated systems. The chef has even added a special ingredient, egg! Eggs contain cysteine, which removes the alcohol toxins from your body to ensure that hangover will be gone in no time!"

No arguments here.
