Open Beaver County project should, uh, consider rebranding

From Beaver County, Pa., a place that yes is very familiar with that word's secondary meaning thank you for pointing it out for the first time ever you are so funny.

Oh god, we feel so bad for making fun of this because open records initiatives are great! This sounds great! But surely, after years of working at the Beaver County Times in Beaver County, Pa., a place which surely yes is very familiar with that word's secondary meaning thank you for pointing that out for the first time ever you are so funny, you'd think that people would be aware of what words have the potential to wreak havoc when paired with the word "beaver." At least, more aware than this announcement suggests:

The Beaver County Times is on a mission to inform its community of readers that thousands of local, county, state and federal documents are available to the public. Open Beaver County is an initiative to provide a free online database of where to go for public records.

You just know there was the one guy at the table during that meeting kind of looking at everyone sideways, all, like, "Crap, do I... bring this up?" And that guy completely chickened out.  

When City Editor Patrick O'Shea tossed out the idea for Open Beaver County, it was met with great enthusiasm...

Yup.
