Openings: Bing Bing, dim sum from the Cheu crew

Some very good news for East Passyunk.
A few months back we shared the very exciting news that Ben Puchowitz and Shawn Darragh of Cheu Noodle Bar were taking over the vacated El Zarape spot on East Passyunk Avenue. Well, we've been keeping an on progress at the space and some very exciting R&D trips that the Cheu have been taking and of course, doing our own speculating about what the new concept would entail.
Yesterday Foobooz broke the news that the concept for Cheu 2 is going to dim sum and it's going to be called Bing Bing (Cantonese for dumplings). No word yet on whether or not Bing Bing is going to have cart service (which is having a resurgence thanks to David Chang's newly introduced dim sum service at Má Pêche) or menu specifics but they're shooting to open around Labor Day.
