Vietnamese crawfish and beer? Yes, please!

How much do you love this angry crab?

Yesterday our friends at Eater caught wind of an interesting piece of Piazza intel. It looks like the shuttered Max's Brew Bar is being taken over by a Vietnamese seafood spot. Crabby's Cafe & Sports Bar is keeping Max's 32 tap draft system (smart move, guys) and rolling out a menu of steamed crawfish, shrimp and crabs (with your choice of seasoning - pick regular, spicy or burning!) along with fried seafood apps and bowls of pho.

Vietnamese seafood isn't new to Philly, there was a short-lived crawfish spot in the Wing Phat Plaza, Dex & Syd's does it at 5th and Washington Avenue and the Crabby's at the Piazza is the second spot from the folks who own the original spot in the Northeast. Opening is slated for January 10.
