Openings: Dizengoff

Dizengoff (1625 Sansom St.), the long awaited hummusiya from Mike Solomonov and Steven Cook is officially opening its doors next monday, August 11th at 10:30 a.m.

This is excellent news for all of you hummus enthusiasts out there who dream of the hummus and salatim at Zahav. The restaurant is going to be open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and serving a rotating selection of craft beers along with frozen Lemonanna (a mint lemonade) plus equally refreshing soft drinks like San Pellegrino grapefruit soda. A hummus plate includes two fresh baked pitas plus Israeli pickles and two seasonal salatim,

Hummus tehina, $9
Soom Foods tehina

Hummus with corn, fenugreek masabacha, $10
whole chickpeas and lemon

Hummus with ground lamb, $11
peas, orange, cinnamon, mint, pistachio

Hummus with matbucha, haminado egg, $10
Moroccan cooked tomato-pepper salad, Sephardic slow-cooked egg

Salatim
Roasted cauliflower with walnut tarator and dill
Zucchini, roasted cherry tomato, pomegranate molasses and sesame seeds
