Wood-fired fare with natural wine and seasonal cocktails coming your way in February.

Openings: Petruce et al.

We've been looking forward to Petruce et al., the Walnut Street restaurant from Jonathan and Justin Petruce for sometime now and it looks like they're slated to spark up that wood-fired stove and open in the beginning of February. Yesterday we got a very exciting email from friend of Meal Ticket Tim Kweeder regarding the beverage end of things at Petruce.

Looks like Monday is going to be Kweeder's last day at a.kitchen and a.bar. Kweeder is going to be taking his natural wine knowledge over to Petruce and stocking the list with bottles from small producers using natural methods.

Kweeder also let it drop that Petruce is bringing on George Costa of Pub & Kitchen fame to head up the cocktail program. Costa's going to be focusing on seasonally-inspired cocktails with housemade sodas and syrups.

Our friends over at Zagat Philly sat down with Jonathan and Justin and Tim to talk menu (Whole animals! Bread service! No pizza!) so head over there for more thrilling intel about this early February opening.
