Say hello to the newest member of the Garces family - a Cuban diner!

Openings: Rosa Blanca

If the striking lack of decent cubano sandwiches and cortaditos in our fair city has got you down, well, we've got some news sure to brighten your day. Today marked the opening of Rosa Blanca (707 Chestnut St.), Jose Garces' shiny new Cuban diner. Taking over the former Chifa spot, Rosa Blanca is bright and airy with high ceilings, plenty of natural light and a tropical palette.

The diner is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to midnight with the bar closing later. Expect a menu full of Cuban classics like empanadas, vaca frita and guava and cheese pastries along with a full bar featuring over 70 rum choices.
