Photo of the week: Who doesn't love a sunrise?
Waiting for the perfect shot on a cold winter morning — that's what we call dedication.

Each week we go through the photos you've sent us, pick our favorite and print it in our paper. If you've photographed something special, submit it to our Flickr group or email it to photostream@citypaper.net. We might just publish it.
Photographer Jack Booth caught the 1902 cast-iron Tugboat Jupiter at sunrise as it bobbed in the Delaware River across from Pier 3 Condominiums. He says the photo was taken at about 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 30 at the base of the steps leading up to the Penn's Landing overpass. Timing is crucial for a sunrise shot at this spot: The sun pops up abruptly from the opposite bank, and for the first few minutes the light is too cold and blue. Then, for only a minute or tow, the pier glows in the sun.
