Pop-Up Alert: Hot Dogs and Fried Chicken
Retro hot dogs and nearly extinct fried chicken to be exact.

Mark those calendars, folks, here are two can't miss pop-ups happening in the next few weeks.
First up we've got David Katz making his triumphant return to American Sardine Bar (1800 Federal St.) for another installment of the Mémé fried chicken pop-up. On Thursday, January 11th Katz and ASB chef Scott Schroeder are going to be frying up chicken and cracking Miller High Lifes starting at 11 a.m. Chicken and a beer are going for $11 and there will be a selection of Katz n' Schroeder created sides on offer for a few bucks more.
And on Wednesday, February 5th the Hot Diggity (630 South St.) hancho Keith Garabedian is putting together a not for the faint of heart retro hot dog dinner with wiener-centric menu items taken straight from the pages of an early 1970s issue of Better Homes and Gardens. Think hot dog-stuffed olives, Asian hot dog casserole and hot dog apple salad. Head on over to Eater for the full (totally not terrifying) menu. Tickets to this great hot dog adventure are going for $20 a head and can be made by calling the Hot Diggity.
