Mark Ladner's gluten-free fast casual could be coming to Philly by way of an Italian-Japanese pop-up.

Pop-Ups: Pasta Flyer

Mark Ladner, the bespectacled chef behind Del Posto, Mario Batali's schmanciest spot in New York is going a little less white table cloth with his latest venture, a Kickstarter-funded fast casual gluten-free fast casual concept, Pasta Flyer. The idea is "a nourishing, gluten-free pasta bowl that takes the warmth of grandma's cooking into a family-friendly, ramen-shop setting." And it's coming to Philly by way of a pop-up if they reach their funding goal.

Diners will have a choose of pasta shapes (pipes, wheels, tubes, screws, stars), sauces (spicy tomato, cheese and pepper, clam stew, meat sauce, hen broth), protein of the flexitarian variety (bacon steak, poached egg, lamb patty, chicken thigh, meatball sausage) and side (crispy onion, chopped herbs, salted capers, spicy sauce, Parmigiano shards) plus a snack and salad all for under $15. All ordering is automated and meals are aiming to be ready in under three minutes.

Head on over to their Kickstarter for the rundown plus a pretty awesome video.
