Prosciutto Party: Cured & Crafted
Free prosciutto tattoos. No joke.

This Thursday the Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma is celebrating 50 years of all things cured ham related with a prosciutto party at the Power Plant (230 N. 2nd St.). From 7 to 10 p.m. chefs from all over town are teaming up with breweries and vying for the best prosciutto pairing and the title of Philly's King of Parma. The roster for Crafted & Cured includes all sorts of promising match ups like Vetri's Mike Deganis with Amacord, Le Virtu's Joe Cicala and Peroni and David Ansill with Stoudt's.
Tickets for the event are going for $45 including all of the beer and prosciutto you can eat plus cocktails from Philly Distilling or you can go for the $60 VIPP ticket (very important prosciutto person, obviously) and get access to hand sliced prosciutto cut by master slicers and Di Bruno Bros. cheeses. Tickets available here.
Oh and if you really, really love prosciutto, there will be an on-site tattoo artist on hand ready to emblazon any part of your body with the Parma Crown for free! And if you brave the tattoo, you get to go home with your very own leg of prosciutto.
