Rabble Rousing: Alan Richman's Top 10 Cheesesteaks

Melrose Park-born GQ food critic is never shy about ruffling a few feathers (remember his legendary takedown of post-Katrina New Orleans or that infamous chapter called "Alan Richman is a Douchebag" in Anthony Bourdain's Medium Raw?) Well, this week Richman is back at it with a sure-to-ire-more-than-a-few-folks list of his top ten cheesesteaks in Philly.

We've got more than a few questions about the list.

We're totally on board with West Passyunk Philip's (that old-fashioned with steak, provolone, grilled tomato, fried onions, oregano and long hots sounds intriguing) and we're big fans of John's Roast Pork and Joe's Steaks + Soda Shop (formerly Chink's). But does pleasant service really make for the best steak in the city? Richman seems to think so. The winner, according to Richman, is Sonny's Famous Steaks in Old City. Weird.
