Retro Recipes: #tbt at Oyster House

Throwback Thursday isn't just for embarrassing high school pics anymore. Oyster House (1516 Sansom St.) is getting in on the hash tag game with a new series of Throwback Thursday specials and no, they don't involve last week's oysters. With 60 plus years in the Philly restaurant game, Oyster House owner Sam Mink is tapping into the Oyster House's recipe archives and featuring a vintage oyster preparation each Thursday beginning today.

First up on the roster is a pan roast, with oysters poached in a creamy tomato sauce served with a blackened shrimp butter crostini.

Oh and while you're there we highly suggest checking out another retro recipe, the only in Philly combo of fried oyster and chicken salad.
