
Schulson planning second Midtown Village restaurant

Chatting with chef Michael Schulson today about his menu at Independence Beer Garden — look for a full review next week — he confirmed rumors that have been circulating about a new restaurant in the works: "We're looking to do a sushi and robata concept, and we think we've found a space very close [to Sampan]." The chef will be Kevin Yanaga, a native of Japan who runs the kitchen at Schulson's Izakaya in Atlantic City. "Kevin is the most talented sushi guy I've ever worked with," Schulson gushed.
