This guy's gonna be there.

As you may or not be aware, the chefs of the Vetri group are nothing if not competitive (seriously, they're like, big into MMA). So it's not really all that big of a shocker that next week Alla Spina (1410 Mt. Vernon St.) is hosting the first ever Osteria vs. Amis Culinary Cage Match. Before you get all excited about Jeff Michaud and macro Vetri throwing down in the octagon, it's a culinary cage match.

Here's the deal: 20 seats are available next Wednesday, February 26th at 6:30 p.m. to watch (and eat and drink) Osteria's Chef de Cuisine Brad Daniels and Amis' Executive Sous Chef Ned Maddock face off in a four course culinary challenge. Each chef will be given four secret ingredients and asked to come up with an antipasti, pasta, entree and dessert plus beverage pairings. Dinners will be part of the judging process, deciding which chef wins the title of cage match champion. Plus chef/coaches Jeff Michaud and brad Spence will be on the sidelines for moral support.

Sounds pretty awesome, right? Reserve your spot by calling Alla Spina at 215-600-0017. Tickets are going for $65 including food, drinks and ringside thrills.
