Want to be in a huge Shakespearean battle in Clark Park?
Is it like LARPing? "Yes and no."

Team Sunshine Performance Corporation will assemble a literal army of actors: over 100 people will be involved in creating massive outdoor battle scenes, a preshow pub experience, and a full production of Shakespeare's Henry IV.
This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. The wording of the FAQ in particular makes it sound like a good time:
What can I expect at try-outs?
You will have to show up to a certain place at a certain time. You will have to learn some "moves" and repeat them in front of the director. You might have to yell or chant, too. If you're really good, we might ask you to do some more stuff.
Do I have to memorize lines?
Not everyone will get a line, but some people may. We think there will be chants and things to remember, but you'll have time to do it and we'll help you out.
Is it like LARPing (Live Action Role Playing)?
Yes and no. YES because we will be a group of living, breathing, human being in the flesh and moving in real-time engaged in a "battle" activity together. NO because much of it will be crafted and choreographed, and because, well, it's theater.
Unfortunately, it looks like they're forgoing the obvious natural resource of the massive group of foam-sword capture-the-flag-playing kids who regularly have mass games in Clark Park on Saturday mornings in warmer weather:
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. No one under twelve should tryout. And everyone from ages 12 – 17 will need to have an adult (parent, teacher, relative, sibling) who is over 18 and will sign off on being their partner. Best case scenario, they are in the army with you. But at least, they need to be at all the rehearsals and performances that you're at.
Still awesome!
