Weekend Plans: Drunk Brunch Edition
Beer and whiskey and eggs.

Citron & Rose (370 Montgomery Ave.) is celebrating the most lighthearted of Jewish holidays with a Purim Party Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Purim patrons are encouraged to come in costume (it's $25 per ticket or $20 if you're in costume) and enjoy a cocktail buffet of kosher bites including petite knishes, mini meatballs and hamentashen for dessert.
This weekend Becca O'Brien is debuting her Sunday Kegs n' Eggs pop-up at Garage (1231 E. Passyunk Ave.) Kicking off at noon O'Brien, whose resume includes The Avenue Deli, Barclay Prime and Vegan Commissary, is going to be taking over Garage's indoor food truck and cooking up a menu of brunch classics like cinnamon swirl French toast, egg and cheese sandwiches with bacon or veggie sausage and potatoes O'Brien with onions, peppers and queso.
This Sunday Jason Cichonski and Scott Schroeder are back at it with a Waffles & Whiskey brunch at Ela (627 S. 3rd St.) From 10:30 to 2:30, these guys are going to be rolling out a three-course menu of boozy brunch items like housemade bagels with whisky lox and a Scott-ched egg with bacon sausage, English muffin grits and cheezy hollandaise. The menu is going for $35 a person with an optional (and super good looking) cocktail pairing for $20.
