Weekend Plans: Labor Day Edition
Burgers, corn dogs, ice cream and beer.

T-minus a few hours to the last weekend of the summer. Here's where to eat and drink this long weekend.
Hot Dogs, Burgers, Barbecues and Ice Cream
This weekend all three outposts of Shake Shack (Rittenhouse, U City and KOP) are bringing back their fan favorite corn dogs this weekend served with corn relish. Bonus points for the seasonally spot-on peach pie concrete.
Hot Diggity (630 South St.) is getting in on the corn dog game as well with five mini dogs on a stick for $5 all weekend long.
Out buddies at Tria Taproom (2005 Walnut St.) are getting in on the burger game on Monday with the fashionably late debut of their signature burger. Here's the deal: "It's 8 ounces of beef excellence topped with Chimay cheese, beer pickles and our groundbreaking Beer-naise sauce, served with a side of crispy fried onions for $14." They're also going to be pouring Chimay Première for $5 all Labor day long.
The always sunny Drury Beer Garden hidden behind Opa (1311 Sansom St.) is hosting a an afternoon barbecue on Sunday with burgers, dogs and daytime drink specials.
Head over to Bamboo Bar (939 N. Delaware Ave.) on Sunday for the last summer Making Time of the season. Along with always a great idea you call it fish bowls the folks from Cantina Los Segundos are going to be manning the grill (maybe Mexican hot dogs?) and the Weckerly's folks are going to be scooping their Wewsst Philly churned ice cream.
Saturday is the final day to experience the Little Baby's Ice Cream affogato collab at Elixr (207 S. Sydenham St.). Your choice of Elixr espresso with Speculoos vegan ice cream or Costa Rican espresso with Cardamom Caramel ice cream
And finally it's the last weekend to get your hands on Marcie Turney's incredibly awesome chocolate-caramel-sea-salt frozen Budino pops at Verde (108 S. 13th St.). They're on sale Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and guaranteed to go quick.
