Weekend Plans: Preview Dizengoff and The Yachtsman

This is a pretty killer weekend for soft openings.

Dizengoff (1605 Sansom St.), Mike Solomonov and Steve Cook's Sansom Street hummusiya is in soft opening mode which means that you can get your hands on some out of control awesome hummus and salatim before the official opening on Monday. Bonus points for Yards Brawler and Lagunitas IPA on draft plus a slushy mint lemonade called lemonanna. We tried the hummus topped with lamb scented with orange and cardamom earlier today and all we can say is get to Dizengoff immediately.

Fishtown tiki paradise The Yachtsman (1444 Frankford Ave.)is going to be open this weekend beginning this evening at 6 p.m. serving an abbreviated version of their Polynesian-inspired cocktail menu. Look out for Mai Tais, pina coladas plus a Meetinghouse Punch on tap.
