Weird stuff from Emily's Facebook: Mon., Jan. 20

Emily gets so many invites to interesting stuff on Facebook that it seems like a waste not to share the wealth. If you've already combed our new and improved events listings and still can't find anything that strikes your fancy, check here every afternoon for a few bonus things going on that night. Want to invite Emily to your event? Cool! She's at facebook.com/emilygee. You'll probably be better served by entering your thing into our events system, though.

Monday, January 20

Today's a little sparse with it being a federal holiday and a Monday, but I would 100% attend both of these things.

Star Wars quizzo at Raven Lounge, 7 p.m.

Prizes, Drink specials and more! Free to play, free to win! 5 Rounds of the best STAR WARS Trivia hosted by Alex Gross and Talking Nerdy Podcast!! Special themes pop up from time to time and this is a ONE TIME deal...for now.

No way I'll win, but the vibe sounds hilarious.

MLK Day '60s karaoke at Tabu, 9 p.m.

In honor of MLK day, sing all your fave artists of the Civil Rights era: Motown, Aretha, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, The Beatles, the list goes on.

The first 10 people to sing the theme get 1 FREE DRINK TICKET good for the night's specials: $3 Domestics! $6 Absoluts!

Wherever there is karaoke, particularly karaoke involving a lot of Tina Turner, I am there.

Pizza bingo at Pizza Brain, 6 p.m.

FAMILY BINGO NIGHT at Pizza Brain
Monday January 20th from to 6:00 to 8:00pm
>>>A Martin Luther King Day Celebration<<<

I am sure this definitely has something to do with Martin Luther King Jr.
