Acting Technique for Young Professionals

Sun Jun 5 , 1:00pm-3:00pm

This is a challenging session for serious young actors exploring the fundamentals of the craft of acting including memorization skills, relaxation techniques, scene and character analysis, and creating believable reality in the moment. This 6 week course is for both beginners and intermediate learners who may already have some background in acting technique. In this class you will be taught by an instructor with expertise in a variety of acting forms from film to commercials and even live presentation. We feel strongly that this will help build skills through challenging exercises developed to teach your young actor how to properly prepare for commercials, TV, and film. This particular class will bring your actor to a more advanced level whether or not they have already learned the basics in the technique by incorporating more challenging script material and individual attention. Improvisation makes this class a truly exciting one. You will work with and without script to get your character where it needs to be. Your teacher, Joe Perillo has hundreds of credits from film, TV , commercials, theater and comedy. This class will be limited to 10 students. Videotaping and playback makes this class a true gem. Parents are encouraged to attend the last class for review. NEW DATES: Sundays, June 5, 12, 26, July 10, 17, 24 TIME: 1:00pm-3:00pm AGE: 9-15 MAX ENROLLMENT: 8 Students
