Featuring: Xenia Rubinos on vocals, Low Leaf on harp/electronics, Ryat on electronics and vocals, Monica McIntyre on cello, Linda Aubry Bullock on animation, video collages and sound art and Jasmine Hearn with dance and choreography. Join DJ duo The Queens for the after party.

+My New Haunt: Leah Reynolds
Fri., Feb. 6, 5-8 p.m., through March 14, Heavybubble's 100 Church gallery, 110 Church St., heavybubble.com
Reynolds' installations feature visible structures in this exhibition; she uses everyday materials like straws, binder clips and cheesecloth to construct pieces "informed by nature and mathmatics." In her artist's statement, she says: "The meaning of the title includes both uses of the word haunt: As a noun it refers to the physical/psychic place that I inhabit while working on a particular project. When used as a transitive verb, it is meant to signify the thing that haunts me." This is the last exhibition at 110 Church in Old City, so be sure to check it out. Heavybubble will continue to exhibit at @HBHQ and in a new 1241 Carpenter St. gallery.

+Headlong First Friday
Fri., Feb. 6, 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Headlong Studios, 1170 S. Broad St., headlong.org.
Enjoy new work, "party, performance and provocation," plus free food and beer, at Headlong. Expect Amy Smith's collabs with Christina Binder, Rebecca Fedele and others, which "may include recitation of old white dude poetry." Meanwhile, Mary Tuomanen and Aaron Cromie will be dogs — that's all we got. People will be dogs. Expect shenanigans upon shenanigans.

+Larry Spaid: Journeys
Fri., Feb. 6, through Feb. 28, Snyderman-Works Gallery, 303 Cherry St., 215-238-9576, snyderman-works.com
Fully titled "Journeys-The Mekong River Paintings," Spaid's exhibition, a 20-year retrospective, features paintings that are reflections on his time as a soldier in the Vietnam War. Spaid's traveled all over the world, journaling and drawing all the way — those observations and notes eventually became inspirations for these paintings here in Philly.

+Essays in Color
Fri., Feb. 6, 6 p.m., through Feb. 22, Metropolitain Gallery 250, 250 S. 18th St., Unit 102, facebook.com/MetropolitanGallery250
The nonprofit gallery, operating alongside the bakery, is curated by Bailey Chick, who’s chosen one of the company’s own for the latest artist exhibition. Michael Secor has worked at the bakery’s production facility in Fishtown for a year, and is also a painter. This is a series of his colorful cityscapes, mostly from around Fishtown. Join him for this, his first solo show.
