A Streetcar Named Durang: Two Burlesques and a Western

The Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium, a Fringe favorite for its take on Eugène Ionesco’s Rhinoceros, offers up parodies of works by Tennessee Williams and Sam Shepard, “the dynamic duo of domestic dysfunction” (hard to argue that). A series of short works by Christopher Durang will send up classics like Streetcar, The Glass Menagerie and A Lie of the Mind. You’ve only got tonight and Friday left to kick off the holidays with a parodied presentation of the same domestic dysfunction you might personally experience at Thanksgiving or Christmas. Sorry. Wed., Nov. 26 and Fri., Nov. 28, 7:30 p.m., $20, L’Etage, 624 S. Sixth St., idiopathicridiculopathyconsortium.org.

In Between

Imagine the cultural and interpersonal complications of being the son of a Palestinian Muslim father and a Jewish Israeli mother. Oh, right — then, marry a Jewish American woman. This show about such a thing, written and performed by Ibrahim Miari, is “semi-autobiographical” and dives deep into childhood memories, war and ancestors from different cultures. There are “complexities and contradictions inherent in Palestinian-Israeli identity,” a show statement says. Mon., Dec. 1, 6 p.m., Free, The Rotunda, 4014 Walnut St., therotunda.org

Selections from “Runway of Brotherly Love”

Patrick Kelly’s “Runway of Love” at the PMA runs through Dec. 7, so in case you haven’t seen it yet, maybe check these two out on the same weekend: Moore College of Art & Design’s Jump/Start fashion show this year, “Runway of Brotherly Love,” is, of course, inspired by “Runway of Love,” but has a Philly twist. Moore students pay homage to Kelly using the same wild, whimsical and cheeky prints, colors and unconventional materials, but in “Brotherly Love,” expect to see a giant pretzel scarf or the Love Park statue iconography gracing some garments. Through Dec. 13, Free, The Galleries at Moore, Moore College of Art & Design, 1916 Race St., , 215-965-4027, moore.edu
