[ 11/22 ]  After Interpol was forced to cancel three shows when their tour bus got caught in the massive snowstorm that hit Buffalo, fans wondered if the band would actually make it to Philly. Thankfully the snow gods let the band pass, and they made their way to the sold out Union Transfer. While the tour is in support of their El Pintor, they made sure to tap the back catalog. Paul Banks’ haunting baritone vocals kept the crowd captivated  throughout their set. Interpol played a mesmerizing encore that included “NYC,” in which the venue finally lit up, matching the lyrics of “turn on the bright lights.” Ending the night with “Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down”’ left the crowd beaming.
