Dinner Plans: Offal dinner at Kensington Quarters
Gizzards, hearts, tongues and trotters.
If gizzards, hearts, tongues and trotters are more your style than, say, a boneless, skinless chicken breast we suggest making your way over to Kensington Quarters (1310 Frankford Ave.) this evening. Chef Damon Menapace is hosting his first ever private dinner in the loft space of the Fishtown butcher shop-restaurant and rolling out a five course dinner that's all about offal. Sourcing fifth quarter cuts from the sustainably raised animals that Bryan Mayer brings into the shop, Menapace has created a great looking menu with highlights that include pig head ravioli with almond, toasted fennel and orange zest and a blood orange tart made with pork fat for dessert. Tickets for the dinner are $75 inlcuding wine pairing. To reserve your spot shoot 'em an email right here.
