Olive Garden haiku!

Good Reads: Checking in on The Never Ending Pasta Blog

About two weeks ago we told you about Matt Persche, one of the lucky owners of Olive Garden's limited edition Never Ending Pasta Pasta Pass, a $100 investment that entitles the owner to seven straight weeks of AYCE Olive Garden. Persche's been blogging all about his salad-pasta-breadsticks-repeat diet over at The Never Ending Pasta Blog

At the 15 day mark Persche seems to be going strong, embracing his all OG diet in a way that's kind of mind blowing ("Leftovers from Olive Garden don't taste so bad. I guess since the food has stayed in the fridge so long before it's served, it can probably tolerate going back to the fridge for 18 more hours.") He's also gotten in good with the staff at the Chestnut Street location ("I do know that the employee at the to-go counter replied, 'I know Matt. He's a regular.' These statements both touched me and terrified me at the same time.") And he's even written a haiku about the lack of gnocchi in the chicken and gnocchi soup:

Pieces of pasta
More than one of us exist
In this gnocchi soup

With 34 days left to the pasta pass challenge we'll be checking back in with Matt periodically to see whether or not he spirals into a vortex of hospitaliano induced madness.
