Frida Kahlo-inspired Mexican coming to South Philly.

Openings: Frida

Looks like deep South Philly is getting another Mexican option after the new year. The Insider is reporting that Plaza Garibaldi co-owner Raul Castro has taken over the corner of 10th and Wolf Streets (formerly Gavone's) and is transforming it into a Frida Kahlo-inspired restaurant aptly named Frida. No word yet on menus but we're hoping that Castro's going to be taking at least a few pages from Frida's Fiestas, a cookbook filled with recipes that Kahlo served to family and friends.
