Sandwiches and Sriracha!

Openings: Jake's Sandwich Board University City

Good news for sandwich starved University City, Jake's Sandwich Board, the Midtown Village sandwich specialist is opening its doors today at 125 S. 40th Street.

Free stuff alert: The first 500 customers will receive a bottle of Sriracha!

The new location is boasting the same meat-centric menu as their 12th Street outpost with monster sandwiches like the Megillah brisket with Sriracha ketchup, provolone and beef bacon on a seeded roll and the Gringo, pulled pork with pickled red onions, a deep fried long hot and some seriously hot fire sauce. Also on the menu are extras like bacon and gravy topped Farm Fries with your choice of protein and chocolate covered bacon. Of course if you're in the market for something a little less intense there are veggie and turkey options available for the faint of heart and all sandwich combos can be made into a salad.
